Along with the far more interesting Leaf EV, Land Glider Concept and the Fuga flagship sedan, Nissan announced that it will also launch a new taxi based on the NV200 Vanette at this month's 2009 Tokyo Motor Show. According to the automaker, the NV200 Vanette Taxi has been designed to address and support the "ever-more-important needs" of Japan's elderly and disabled as it includes numerous features such as rails that make it easier to enter and exit the vehicle. Sales of the NV Vannete cab will start in Japan towards the end of the year.
