SEMA '09: Mopar Transforms Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon to a Go-Anywhere Campervan

The forth Mopar-prepped concept to be exhibited at the SEMA Show next month is the Jeep Wrangler Overland. Based on the 2009 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon, the Overland ditches the rear seats in favor of a flat, rubberized utility floor while an ARB two-person Simpson II tent is mounted to the cargo rack on the rooftop. The interior of the Overland features water-resistant front-seat covers, rugged slush mats, a Daystar dash bin and lower switch panel that powers the added accessories.

To further improve the Wrangler's off-road credentials the Mopar team added a an American Expedition Vehicles three-inch suspension lift and a Full Traction rear sway bar while the vehicle now rides on 35-inch tires mounted on 17-inch steel Mopar winter/off-road wheels.

Other modifications include AEV steel bumpers, a Warn 9.5ti winch, heat-reduction hood and snorkel kit plus additional lights mounted on the windshield and front bumper.

Mopar to Show Off Custom Dodge Ram Bianco at 2009 SEMA

Next month's SEMA show at Las Vegas will see the Mopar squad revealing several concept models including this custom Dodge Ram Bianco that's based on the HEMI V8-powered Ram 1500 Sport. Chrysler's in-house performance tuning arm said that the Ram Bianco has been modified to reflect a more upscale feel and appearance with the help of several Mopar performance parts and accessories.

Finished in a special Arctic Ice pearl paint, the truck is distinguished by a Mopar body kit that includes modified fender flares while the 22-inch alloy wheels in dark finish and lowering kit complete the upgraded looks.

Inside, Mopar said that the Ram Bianco gets black and white Katzkin seats with matching door trims and Piano Black and Arctic Ice accents. There's also a new For Kicker audio system consisting of an audio amplifier, a subwoofer and new speakers.

Performance upgrades are limited to a Mopar cold-air intake and a new exhaust system.

SEMA '09: Mopar Jeep Wrangler Lower Forty "BigFoot" with Massive 40-inch Tires and HEMI V8

Taking the latest generation Jeep Wrangler to a new extreme, Mopar has designed the uber-impressive "Lower Forty" concept for this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The crazy Wrangler Lower Forty rides on massive 40 x 13.5-inch tires mounted on Mopar's 20-inch forged-aluminum wheels while power comes from a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine coupled to a Getrag 238 six-speed manual gearbox. The Mopar-supplied Dana 44 front axle and a Dana 60 rear axle, fitted with 5.38 gears and ARB air lockers complete the mechanical upgrades.

In order to fit the massive wheels on the Wrangler Rubicon without using a suspension air lift, Mopar's team created custom front and rear fender flares that are 1-inch wider and are located 4 inches higher than on the stock model.

Other exterior modifications include the chopped windshield frame that gets a 10-degree rake, a one-piece carbon-fiber hood with a Jeep CJ-like power dome and an all-new drop-down tailgate stamped with the "Jeep" logo.

The Lower Forty also gets a roll cage that is tied directly into the frame rails, a color-matched center console and instrument panel and two-tone Katzkin leather seats while the carpet has been replaced with spray-in truck-bed liner.

SEMA '09: Mopar Dodge Challenger 1320, a 556HP Street Legal Drag Car

No SEMA show is complete without some classic American muscle and this year's aftermarket gathering in Las Vegas won't disappoint. One of the highlights at Chrysler's Mopar themed stand this year will be the Dodge Challenger 1320, a street-legal version of the Drag Pak Dodge Challenger racer. Named for the 1,320 feet on a quarter-mile drag strip, the modded Challenger features Mopar's 426 cubic-inch HEMI V-8 crate engine that produces an output of 556 HP and 540 lb.-ft. of peak torque.

The HEMI V8 drives the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox through a custom Dynatrac rear housing with Mopar Dana 60 internals and a selectable, ARB locking differential. The Challenger 1320 also gets a four-corner, adjustable coil-over suspension kit from Mopar that is said to improve handling.

On the outside, the Mopar-prepped Challenger is finished in an eye-popping non-metallic yellow paint with contrasting matte black graphics and Mopar police wheels fitted with Nitto street-legal drag radials.

Other highlights include the carbon fiber hood with the HEMI scoop, front spoiler and grille panel.

The coupe's interior has been stripped out in order to reduce vehicle weight and fitted with a pair of front seats from the Dodge Viper, a sport steering wheel and a Hurst shifter.
