In Vauxhall's case, the new Corsa Black & White Limited Edition model combines a glacier white bodywork with black 17-inch twin spoke alloy wheels and detailing, topped off with a black sapphire roof.

Opel Corsa OPC: Nürburgring Edition Spy Shots

Here are some spy shots of what is believed to be the Opel Corsa OPC Nürburgring Edition special.

Based on the standard OPC, this should basically be the Corsa version of the Astra-based 2008 Nürburgring Edition model. That means it'll most likely come with the standard Corsa OPC's 192-horsepower (141 kW) / 170 lb-ft (230 Nm) turbocharged 1.6 liter mill and extra add-ons.

Other baubles to expect are upgraded Brembo brakes, Recaro leather seating, carbon-look decor for the interior, unique lightweight wheels, and maybe even a tuned suspension.

New Opel Corsa Color Race Harks Back to 1970s Rallye Kadett B Sprint [with Video]

Chevrolet isn't the only brand in the GM Group playing around with vivid colors and special editions that hark back to models of the 60s and 70s. So is the firm's European division Opel that has released a new exclusive edition of the Corsa supermini called 'Color Race' inspired from the late 1960s - early 1970s Rallye Kadett B Sprint.

However, unlike the sporty Kadett that combined exclusive styling cues with performance enhancements, the Corsa Color Race's upgrades are limited to cosmetic upgrades.

The three-door Color Race is available with a choice of three exterior finishes - Sunny Melon Yellow color, Casablanca White and Magma Red- and comes with a standard black hood as well as side and tailgate appliqués with a checkered flag motif, black painted roof and black 17-inch alloy wheels.

The special edition model's interior features matching color highlights such as special seat stitching and vent bezels, a Panorama sunroof and a leather-clad steering wheel.

The Corsa Color Race is offered with the same range of engines as the other 2010 Corsa models including the new 1.4-liter gasoline unit with 87HP or 100HP and the 130HP 1.7-liter CDTI turbo diesel that returns a combined fuel consumption of just 4.5-liter per 100 km or 52.3 mpg US.

Pricing in Germany starts from €15,560 or at today's exchange rates, approximately US$22,500.

2010 Opel / Vauxhall Corsa gains More Powerful and Fuel Efficient Engines and Chassis Improvements

General Motors' European division Opel and its sister company Vauxhall have revealed the revised 2010 Corsa that's scheduled to go on sale in mainland Europe early next year and in the UK, from April. If you're looking at the photos to discover what's new about the 2010 Corsa, you'd better stop because Opel/Vauxhall didn't change a thing on the vehicle's exterior and interior design. Instead, the firm's engineers focused on improving the subcompact hatch's powertrains and handling characteristics.

The company claims the it has managed to reduce average consumption by 13.2 per cent across the range (excluding the OPC / VXR model) with 5 out of 6 engines emitting less than 125g/km.

The most fuel efficient model of the range is the new 1.3 CDTI 95HP diesel ecoFLEX model, which achieves 76.3mpg UK (63.5mpg US or 3.7lt /100km) on the combined cycle and 88.3mpg (73.5mpg US or 3.2lt /100km) on the extra urban cycle).

The diesel range also comprises of a 75HP version of the same 1.3 CDTi that emits 114g/km of CO2, and a more powerful 1.7 CDTi which now produces 130HP, yet drops 12g/km in CO2 emissions.

The tweaked 1.0-litre petrol engine gains an additional 5HP for a total of 65HP while CO2 emissions drop to 117g/km. The 1.2-litre petrol also gets a 5HP boost to 85HP while the 1.4-litre petrol now produces 100HP instead of 90HP and returns 51.4mpg (42.8mpg US or 5.4lt /100km), up from the current model's 46.3mpg.

In addition, most models in the range get a new eco gearshift indicator housed within the instrument cluster.

Complementing the powertrain upgrades is a revised chassis with new set-ups for the steering and suspension systems.

The automaker's engineers added softer springs in the front suspension, mated to an anti-roll bar with new bushes and an increased diameter to improve ride and control characteristics. Furthermore, the 2010 Corsa also gets revised damper settings all round, an optional re-tuned ESP system and enhanced steering geometry.

As far as the Vauxhall-badged version of the Corsa is concerned, the new model gains additional standard features such as cruise control and an on-board computer on the SE, SXi and SRi trim levels while the SRi, which starts at a lower price point, gets revised suspension settings, air conditioning, 17-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, and a VXR styling kit fitted as standard.

On-the-road prices for the 2010 Corsa in the UK start from £10,285 for the 1.0-liter 65HP ecoFLEX model and top off at £17,155 for the sporty 1.6-liter Turbo VXR.

New Opel Corsa ecoFLEX Returns 3.7lt/100km or 63.6MPG and 99g/km CO2

GM's Opel and Vauxhall divisions have revealed the new fuel-efficient and green Corsa ecoFLEX that will go on sale across Europe in January 2010. Available in both three- and five-door versions, the new Corsa ecoFLEX is powered by a 1.3-liter CDTi diesel engine with a variable geometry turbo for a total output of 95HP, or 28 per cent more power than the existing 75HP Corsa ecoFLEX.

In spite of the power increase, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are slashed by some 10 percent over the outgoing model at 3.7 lt/100 km (63.3 mpg US or 76.3 mpg UK) and 98 g/km of CO2 for the three-door or 99g/km for the five door model respectively.

To help achieve these figures, Opel tweaked the Corsa's aerodynamics by lowering the car by 20mm and optimizing the air flows via the air intakes. Furthermore, the new 175/70 tires that are roll-resistance-optimized and fitted to lighter, 14-inch steel wheels, feature newly designed and more efficient wheel caps.

The new 95HP model comes equipped with a five-speed manual transmission featuring a longer gear ratio. According to Opel, it has a top speed of 177 km/h (110mph) and needs 12.3 seconds to reach 100 km/h (62mph) from a standstill.

2010 Chevrolet Agile Official Photos: Fortunately, It's only for South America

Proving once again that for the most part, teaser sketches and concept studies have little if anything in common with the actual production model (cars like the Peugeot RCZ are the exception to the rule), General Motors revealed the first official photos of the 2010 Chevy Agile small car. Despite the promising sketches, the production version of the Agile looks like an Opel Corsa that suffered multiple plastic surgery procedures to make it look like a small Chevy crossover.

Luckily for us, the new Agile that was conceived in Brazil using GM's Viva platform is not the next North American or European market Chevy Aveo as the crossoverish hatch was developed for South American markets.

The Agile will be built at General Motors' Rosario plant in Argentina with series production set to begin this fall.

Chevrolet's official press release did not mention anything on the available powertrain options, but South American buyers can expect a range of four-cylinder engines.

Thanks for the tip Gustavo!

2010 Chevrolet Agile: Official Sketches of Ford Fiesta-Sized Supermini

These are the first official sketches of the all-new Chevrolet Agile, a Ford Fiesta-sized hatchback that was developed and designed entirely by GM's South American operations. Judging by the drawings, the Agile appears to be the road-going, five-door hatchback version of the Chevrolet GPiX crossover coupe concept study that was revealed at last year's Sao Paulo International Auto Show in Brazil.

During the presentation of the GPiX, Jaime Ardila, President of General Motors Brazil and Mercosur, had revealed that the concept study could spawn a series of small cars for the South American markets.

Production of the Agile is scheduled to begin this fall at the company's Rosario plant in Argentina with sales in South America pegged to start before the end of the year. GM said that the Agile is the first vehicle to make use of its new "Viva" platform that was originally developed for Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay.

While the American automaker did not release any technical specifications on the Agile, buyers should expect a wide range of 4-cylinder engines.

And yes, the thought that the Agile may form the base for Chevrolet's U.S. market small hatchback that will be built in Michigan in 2011, did cross our mind (the smaller Spark is also a possible candidate). However, GM has not made any announcements on the matter.
